Daily care for oily, blemish-prone and sensitive skin: start gently
Reduce repeated irritation, then arrange cleansing, moisturising and sun protection around your individual skin condition.
Stronger cleansing is not always better
Cleanse gently. Avoid forceful rubbing, repeated scrubbing and frequent changes to your products. More oil does not mean you need to keep washing; repeated irritation may worsen dryness, stinging and other discomfort.
The American Academy of Dermatology warns that excessive washing, scrubbing and squeezing blemishes can worsen acne. A general routine is to cleanse morning and evening and after significant sweating, adjusting frequency to your individual condition.
Moisturising and sun protection are basic care
Oily skin can also feel dry. Choose moisturisers you tolerate and judge the complete formula and your response, rather than focusing only on a popular ingredient.
Pay attention to daily sun protection. Acne-prone skin can look for products labelled non-comedogenic while monitoring individual tolerance. Introduce new products one at a time to make possible causes of discomfort easier to identify.
Care and treatment serve different purposes
Toner can be a step in daily care, but it cannot replace acne diagnosis or treatment. Consult a dermatologist for recurring redness, swelling or pain, or if scarring has developed.
During treatment, follow your doctor’s advice on skincare combinations. Avoid adding multiple exfoliating or irritating products yourself. A “sensitive skin” or “repair” description does not establish suitability for every skin condition.
