01 / Cleansing and a simpler routine
Cleansing and a simpler routine
01Can the cleanser remove sunscreen and light makeup in one step? When is a remover still needed?
Brand materials describe the Clear & Fortify Cleanser for ordinary daily sunscreen, primers and light base makeup. For water-resistant sunscreen or long-wear or heavy makeup, follow the removal instructions of those products and use a suitable remover, especially for the eye and lip areas. This answer concerns the 80 g Douyin-edition Clear & Fortify Cleanser; formulas and test results from other channel editions are kept separate.

02Does a soft, moisturized feel mean the cleanser has left residue? Should skin feel dry to be clean?
A soft feel alone does not show that cleansing was incomplete. Glycerin is listed first in the brand ingredient sheet, and the materials describe a soft, moisturized after-feel. Lather and cleanse gently as directed, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Tightness is not a cleansing standard, and a comfortable after-feel alone is not a reason to wash repeatedly. Follow separate removal instructions for water-resistant or heavy makeup.

03How should oily skin use the emulsion? Must it be layered with the cream?
The brand describes a milky white emulsion with a water-gel feel, used after cleansing and toning morning and evening, with 2–3 pumps as a reference amount. Adjust to your skin needs and decide whether drier areas need cream afterwards; using one collection does not require heavy layers of every product. A lightweight feel is not a guarantee that nobody will develop breakouts. Introduce one new product at a time to assess tolerance.

Toner and ingredients
04Can an “essence toner” replace a serum, emulsion and cream?
It remains a toner for use after cleansing, with the light, fluid, water-like texture described in brand materials. A simpler routine does not mean that one bottle is enough for everyone. Whether to add a serum depends on your skincare goals; whether to follow with emulsion or cream depends on dryness or tightness after use. Meet your routine moisturizing needs before deciding on extra layers rather than removing steps solely because of the name.

05What roles do turmeric, cactus, kudzu and tea tree ingredients have in the toner’s care concept?
Brand materials discuss turmeric-related ingredients for soothing care, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem Extract for barrier care, and kudzu and tea tree leaf oil in the oil-control concept. Check the specific names in the full ingredient list. Cell, model or human test findings for one raw material do not directly establish the finished toner’s effects on your face. Check individual ingredients if you have known plant or essential-oil allergies.

06What does the oil-control report’s 27.32% mean, and how was “3-hour moisturization” tested?
The oil-control report measures laboratory 5α-reductase inhibition; 27.32% does not mean 27.32% less oil on your face. The moisturization report compares changes in the sample’s water weight against a 5% glycerin control at 1.5 and 3 hours; it is not a measurement of human skin hydration. These findings concern the submitted sample and test conditions. They do not establish personal onset time, a percentage reduction in facial oil or a fixed moisturizing duration for everyone.

03 / Tolerance and layering

07Does the toner control oil by acid exfoliation? Is a lactic-acid-bacteria ferment extract the same as lactic acid?
This is a daily toner. The full ingredient sheet supplied by the brand does not list salicylic acid, glycolic acid or lactic acid as exfoliating acids. A lactic-acid-bacteria ferment extract is not the same ingredient as lactic acid. Oil-control positioning is not a reason to use the toner for repeated exfoliating wipes. The salicylic-acid information for the separate Oil Control Clay Mask does not apply to this toner. Follow the purchased toner’s directions.

08Does an irritation score of IS=0.00 mean it cannot irritate sensitive or reddened skin?
It does not establish suitability for every person or every skin condition. The submitted 150 mL sample scored IS=0.00 in a chicken embryo chorioallantoic membrane assay and was classified as non-irritant under those test conditions. This is not a human sensitive-skin patch test and does not rule out individual allergy. Try a small area first; stop use if redness, itching or stinging persists and seek dermatological advice when needed.

09Can I leave a toner compress on for a long time? Does applying it before acids or retinol guarantee less irritation?
Brand materials give 3–5 minutes as a reference for a localized compress; longer is not necessarily better. Start with a small amount applied normally and adjust to tolerance and the purchased packaging directions. A suggested pairing scenario is not evidence of combination testing with every acid or retinol product. Applying this toner first is not a reason to increase another active product’s amount or keep layering when stinging has already occurred.

04 / Cream and the two masks
Cream and the two masks
10Why is the cream yellowish? Can it be used before daytime sunscreen and makeup?
Brand materials associate its pale yellow appearance with sea buckthorn fruit oil and describe a lightweight, velvety cream. It can be used morning and evening: spread an appropriate amount evenly and follow with sunscreen during the day. A raw material’s colour alone does not establish the appearance on skin; amount and layered products also affect the feel. The materials do not establish pill-free compatibility with every sunscreen or makeup combination, so adjust the amount and layers to actual use.

11Can the “Little Ice Cup” mask stay on overnight? Where does it go in the routine, and how should I cleanse the next morning?
The “Little Ice Cup” here is the Clear & Fortify Soothing Mask, a leave-on mask placed at the final step of evening skincare in brand materials. Let it absorb before sleeping; using the collection does not require another heavy layer of emulsion or cream over it. Cleanse gently as usual the next morning rather than scrubbing repeatedly. The routine reference is one cup per use, 2–3 times a week, adjusted to tolerance and packaging directions.

12Should the clay mask be left until it cracks? Do I need to squeeze blackheads afterwards?
This is a rinse-off clay mask. The directions page gives 10–15 minutes followed by rinsing with lukewarm water, with routine use 1–2 times a week; it is not an overnight sleeping mask. A creamy texture does not mean unlimited application time, and there is no need to squeeze or scrub repeatedly to remove all blackheads at once. Its ingredient list includes salicylic acid and papain, so consider tolerance when other exfoliating products are already in your routine and follow the packaging.
